MEET THE FOUNDER
Claire Belmont grew up on the East Coast and studied fine arts before finding her way to jewelry design almost by accident — a metalworking elective that turned into a full-blown obsession. After finishing her degree, she spent a few years working under other designers before deciding to start something of her own.
For Claire, making jewelry was never just about the object. It's about giving people something to hold onto — a piece that carries a memory, a promise, or a version of themselves they want to remember. She often says a good piece of jewelry "should feel like it already belonged to you before you owned it."
That belief shapes everything at Belmont Bijou, from the way pieces are designed to how the small team behind them works together. Claire isn't interested in jewelry that just sits there looking nice — she wants people to feel something when they put it on.
Claire still works out of the original atelier, staying close to every part of the business — from sourcing materials to packing the first orders that go out each morning.
Our Sustainability
We don't think luxury and sustainability have to compete — we think that's actually where the industry is headed. A well-made piece isn't just something you wear; it's a choice, and we want that choice to mean something beyond the piece itself.
